Welcome to the Madhu Karuńá Renewal Project!
We are embarking on an inspiring journey to renew our cherished retreat center, creating an environment that uplifts the spirit and fosters deeper connections. By maximizing our resources, we will build a space of beauty and comfort that supports Ananda Marga’s mission in our sector.
Whether you are a skilled renovator, a creative designer, a project manager or a passionate volunteer, your contribution can help us grow, expand, and touch more hearts.

Namaskar and greetings to all Margiis of the Berlin Sector,
A process of renovation has begun at Madhu Karuna, our sectorial nucleus. We have a group of Acaryas and Margiis whom have initiated the process of transforming our sectorial conference center into a place that is aesthetically pleasing, safe, and equipped with the basic comforts needed to serve the entire Margii community.
I fully support this transformation and renewal of Madhu Karuna and sincerely wish that every Margii will contribute in whatever capacity they can.
In His Service,

Acarya Ragamayananda Avadhuta
Sectorial Secretary Berlin Sector
Why are we doing this?
Nowadays, the facilities of our Retreat Center are not sufficient to provide a great experience:
- The structure shows signs of overall wear and tear, compounded by partial renovations that have resulted in mismatched colors, styles, and unfinished elements.
- There is a lack of appropriate areas for everyday activities, such as dishwashing and clothes washing, leading to inefficient and makeshift arrangements.
- Visible electrical outlets, wiring, and other building elements detract from the space’s appearance, creating a cluttered and unpolished look.
- Common areas suffer from insufficient lighting and inadequate ventilation, which can affect comfort, safety, and the overall ambiance during programs.
Much of the existing furniture is old and highly deteriorated, reducing comfort for attendees and hindering deep rest or relaxation.

What we envision

- Greater beauty and order will uplift the vibration of the whole space.
- More comfort in our facilities will allow the attendees of our programs rest deeply, join the flow of activities with fresh energy.
- A better experience will allow more margiis join our programs, strengthening our collective journey.
- A renovated space will allow us to organize more diverse programs, and to host more groups, which would translate as more financial resources and ease to sustain the place in the long term.
- In summary: The chance for the Ananda Marga community in our sector to grow, expand, and reach more hearts.
Some realistic inspiration!
How long will it take?
We envision this as a phased project spanning 4-5 years, allowing for sustainable progress.
Our goals for the first year include:
- Raise funds to kickstart the renewal.
- Complete a First Sprint of essential improvements.
- Build a comprehensive 5-Year plan.
Contributors are welcome to commit short-term or long-term, depending on their availability.
At the moment, we are in need of building a team for the very First Sprint.
What’s in the First Sprint?
- Beautification of spaces – uplifting the overall atmosphere.
- Plastering & painting – fresh walls that radiate care and harmony.
- Safety & serenity – improvements for protection and noise reduction.
- Enhanced comfort – cozy details for deeper rest and relaxation.
- Fresh linens – new bed sheets for a welcoming touch.
- Household essentials – plates and other necessary items.
- Pathway renewal – clearer, more inviting walkways.
- Lighting upgrades – warm, balanced illumination to inspire presence.
